Tax Filing – Instructions for Customers
We serve both individual and business clients, offering flexible options for filing — either in person at our office or electronically from the comfort of your home.
For Existing Clients:
If you are an existing client, please get in touch with our office to inform us of your preferred approach for handling your taxes this year. You have two options:
- In-Person Filing: Call us to schedule an appointment with our tax specialist.
- Electronic Filing: You may email us your tax documents, and we will prepare them for you. Once your return is ready, we’ll send it to you for review and electronic signature — there is no need to visit the office.
For New Clients:
If you are a new client, please call us before sending any documents. During this initial call, we will explain the process and request a copy of your previous year’s tax return. This helps us understand your tax background and ensures that we file accurately on your behalf. After we review your documents, we’ll guide you through the following steps, whether you choose to file in person or remotely.
Important Tax Deadlines:
- Personal Tax Returns (Form 1040): Due by April 15
- Partnerships and S-Corporations (Forms 1065 and 1120S): Due by March 15
- C-Corporations (Form 1120): Due by April 15
If you are unable to meet the deadline, we can file an extension for you. Anyone can request an extension before the tax due date. However, it is important to understand that an extension gives you more time to file your taxes, but it does not provide extra time to pay any taxes owed. You must still pay any taxes by the original deadline to avoid penalties and interest.
Documents You Will Need
To prepare your tax return beside Your ID, please gather and provide the following:
- All relevant income forms (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, etc.)
- Business income and expense records (if applicable)
- Documents for deductions (mortgage interest, property taxes, charitable donations, etc.)
- Health insurance form (Form 1095-A, if applicable)
- Any IRS or state tax letters or notices received
Need to File for Previous Years?
We can also assist you in filing prior year tax returns. Whether you missed filing or need to correct a previous return, we're here to help bring your records up to date.
