Notary Public - Instructions for Customers

If your document requires legal validity, it must go through the notarization process.

  1. Prepare Your Document:
Ensure that your document is complete and ready for notarization. Do not sign it in advance; it must be signed in the presence of the Notary.
  2. Confirm Notary Availability:
Please call our office at (718) 386-4222 to verify the Notary's availability.
  3. Bring Valid Identification:
Please bring a government-issued photo ID, such as a passport, driver's license, or state identification. The Notary will use this to verify your identity.
  4. Visit the Notary Office:
If your document requires witnesses, please inform us in advance.
  5. Document Review and Oath (if applicable):
The Notary will review your document. In some cases, you may be asked to swear or affirm that the information provided is true.
  6. Sign in the Notary's Presence:
You must sign the document in the presence of the Notary, who will then affix their official seal and signature.
  7. Receive Your Notarized Document:
You will receive your document bearing the official notarial seal, which affords it legal recognition.
  8. Fees and Payment:
A standard notarization fee applies, and payment is required at the time of service.
